33 Days

I'm still excited about Mexico. Surely it will be fun!

But today was not Mexico.

Today consisted of a boring breakfast, a flurry of emails, phone calls and texts. There were releases to pitch, questions to answer and documents that needed editing.

In fact, I was really hammering a client, just begging them to provide the input needed (deadline approaching) for a particular document, when I found out late in the day that the client wasn't blowing off my requests...they had met with a vendor in their offices, and during the meeting the man had a heart attack and died. They nicely explained why they had been preoccupied. OUCH.

Of course I felt horrible! Horrible for this poor man's family, my client and all those in the meeting....my client had to let the family know, and I'm sure they asked him all sorts of things. What was he doing before he died? Did he look like he was in pain? Did he say anything? I'm sure they had a plethora of questions, and so I can't blame my client for blowing me off. How trivial compared to what happened!

And such is life.

Savor each day, each relationship and each moment.

Oh, and each client.

Wow girlfriend. Meheeco! What a fabulous trip. Enjoy the time of planning before the trip. It can be as much fun anticipating it as the actual thing. 40! Okay, I have to say it, "WOW DO I FEEL OLD!" And you know you look terrific. Have a blast.
